Miami University Primatology Club
About
About Us: The Miami University Primatology Club is the only undergraduate organization of its kind in the country. Our club provides a means to foster student development in primatology, a multi-disciplinary field that encompasses the study of extant non-human primates. While the majority of our students are Anthropology or Biology/Zoology majors, the field of biological anthropology is enticing to many, regardless of major. Therefore, we encourage any and all students and faculty with an interest in primates, biological anthropology, or biology to attend our meetings and events. We have biweekly meetings in Upham Hall, in addition to trips and other events that occur throughout the year.
Our Mission: We exist to educate fellow students and faculty through presentations and discussions, foster student development in research, provide members with professional development through regional/national conferences, collaborate with student and professional researchers to further our knowledge of the Order: Primates, and promote conservation efforts.
