National Art Education Association
About
Miami University's National Art Education Association Student Chapter is dedicated to promoting professional development amongst its future art educators. In doing so, its members participate in various service learning activities, arts centered events. We hold studio and career workshops, lesson plan exchanges, go on arts-related field trips, and offer exhibition opportunities for art education majors.
The Miami University Student Chapter of the National Art Education Association is open to membership by all students who are interested in art education, even if they don't intend to become art teachers. We meet every other week on a day and time which is voted on per semester.
Whether or not students join the Student Chapter, they are strongly urged to join both the National Art Education Association and the Ohio Art Education Association. Students also are encouraged to attend the annual conference of OAEA, held in various Ohio cities each November.
