About
The AMSA chapter at Miami University has two primary goals as a pre-professional body: to build the resumes of its members by providing community service opportunities and to provide exposure and interactions with individuals involved in the medical field such as physicians, medical students, and admission committee representatives. We encourage a sense of fellowship between students and facilitate communication among different graduating classes by utilizing a mentee/mentor program. AMSA at Miami University wants to make every individual the best medical school applicant possible by providing the knowledge and tools necessary to be successful. Nationally, the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is the oldest and largest independent association of physicians-in-training in the United States (AMSA Foundation, 2010).
