HELM

On 07 April 2012, the Colonel William R. Higgins Memorial Endurance Race will be held on Miami University’s Campus by HELM, which is an organization affiliated with the NROTC unit on Miami’s campus. The purpose of holding this race is to raise money for the Children’s Scholarship Fund of Greater Cincinnati and to promote positive public relations between the Miami University NROTC Unit, the Miami University student body, and universities and ROTC Units around the state of Ohio. We will also be displaying several memorials at the race which will allow us to remember all the naval officers who graduated from Miami University and gave their lives in service for the United States of America. The race will consist of four person teams who will be running approximately 10 miles with various workout stations set along the route. Teams will start and end at the same point but will be sent off in increments of 10 minutes. Each team will be expected to pay a $50 entry fee which will help to cover race costs.
